Annual Meeting 2017

Opportunities for Scientific Exchange and Networking with Research Society on Alcoholism Annual Meeting Attendees

While the 57th Annual Meeting of the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention takes place June 24—28, 2017, at the Grand Hyatt in downtown Denver, the Research Society on Alcoholism (RSA) will also be meeting just a few blocks away.

RSA has made a limited number of FREE passes for Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention meeting registrants to attend the RSA Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Study Group (FASDSG) Workshop taking place Saturday, June 24 from 8 am to 5 pm. The agenda for the workshop is available HERE. If you would like one of the free tickets, please RSVP to bdrp@birthdefectsresearch.org as soon as possible (deadline May 2). Please note:

  • To be eligible for a free pass you must be a paid registrant for the full Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention Annual Meeting at the time of your RSVP. Any type of paid full registration will suffice (Member, Emeritus, Graduate Student, Postdoctoral Fellow, Non-Member, Joint Member with OTIS/DNTS).
  • The free passes are very limited in number and will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis, so prompt RSVP is recommended.
  • The FASDSG workshop is a full-day event. Those who are assigned the free passes are expected to participate in the entire workshop.
  • An optional networking luncheon will be available for pre-purchase. Instructions on how to sign up for this luncheon will be sent to those who are assigned free passes to the workshop.

RSA/FASDSG, Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention, OTIS and DNTS Exchange Symposium

On Monday, June 26, a joint symposium will take place at the Grand Hyatt Denver. This symposium, chaired by Ludmila Bakhireva, University of New Mexico and Jeffrey Wozniak, University of Minnesota, is titled “Evaluation of Fetal Risk in the Context of Multiple Co-Exposures.” The symposium will include a networking break and is sure to be a highlight of this year’s annual meeting.
