Registration Information
Register for the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention Annual Meeting
Registration is required to attend the Annual Meeting. Additional registration is needed to attend Education Courses and/or the Closing Celebration.
The Annual Meeting and Education Courses will take place in-person and will include a virtual experience to make remote participation possible in the event a registrant cannot attend in person (see Meeting Format for more information). Meeting and course registration fees are the same for in-person or remote participation. During registration you will be asked your expected mode of attendance (in person or remote). Mode of attendance may be changed up until May 15. Undecided attendees will be required to confirm mode of attendance (in person or remote) by May 15.

Attendance
The Annual Meeting and Education Courses will take place in-person and will include a virtual experience to make remote participation possible in the event a registrant cannot attend in person (see Meeting Format for more information). Add Lunch and Closing Celebration Tickets only if you plan to attend the event in person. If you are unsure about your travel plans, you can add these tickets to your registration up until June 15. Please note that you must purchase a Closing Celebration Ticket for each person planning to attend this event, including yourself and any guests or family members that will accompany you.
Registration Cancellation Policy
There is a $25 charge for cancellation or substitution of any registration before May 15, 2022. No refunds after May 15, 2022.
Special Registration Types
Member Registration
The Member registration rate is only available to Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention members who have paid their dues through the year the meeting takes place. If you are unable to register at the member rate, it is possible that your dues payment has not been received. Please access your member profile in Member Account Services to check the status of your membership and/or renew your dues.
Student/Postdoctoral Fellow/Trainee Registration
This registration rate is available to all students, postdoctoral fellows, and other trainees who are members of BDRP or who have submitted a membership application. Please note that annual dues for Trainee Membership are just $10. Any student, postdoctoral fellow, or trainee who submits an abstract by the deadline (February 15) and is accepted for poster or platform presentation is eligible to apply for a Travel Award.
Joint Meeting Registration
Individuals who are members of both the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention and DNTS or OTIS may select the joint member registration fee in order to attend both organizations’ meetings at a reduced rate via one payment.
In addition to the optional joint member registration fees, the organizations have continued to include a few joint sessions in their meeting programs. Registrants of the respective meetings are welcome to attend the joint sessions and the sessions hosted by the organization for which they are registered.
Sister Society Member Registration
Individuals who are not members of BDRP but are members of our four sister societies (European Teratology Society, Developmental Neurotoxicology Society, National Birth Defects Prevention Network, and Organization of Teratology Information Specialists) may register for the BDRP meeting and/or courses at a 15% discount off the nonmember rate. This discount will be applied in addition to the Early Bird Discount if registering by March 31. Individuals should contact their organization’s headquarters to request the promotional code to apply during registration checkout.
Emeritus Member Registration
The Society is pleased to continue to offer reduced meeting and course registration rates to Emeritus members of the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention.
